Scott was born in Falls Church,VA but for the most part grew up in Tampa, FL. He spent one year in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnshire before moving to California to attend the University of Southern California. His original plan was to major in Film and Television, but after one semester he decided he needed a much more stable career...so he chose theater.

While in school his favorite roles were Gargoyle in Marc Handler's production of his post-apocalyptic Silk and Warrington in Edward Bond's Lear directed by David Catazarite. His greatest experience while at USC was taking a production of Shirley Lauro's A Piece of My Heart to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland where he played 27 different men from soldiers to fathers to brothers and boyfriends.

After USC, Scott got involved with the Academy of Theatrical Combat run by Dan Speaker. He found that he possessed a natural affinity for the many different kinds of weapons that the Academy trains with including Broadswords, Rapiers, Smallswords, Quarterstaffs and others. Scott also found that he had no problem throwing or getting thrown around in the Academy's hand-to-hand training. He eventually used this training to land many roles and choreography jobs in theater and film.

In 1995, Scott got the job of choreographing a production of Macbeth that was to be done at the Hollywood United Methodist Church and directed by Michael Holmes. He eventually ended up playing the roles of Seyton and Young Siward. The production was named "Production of the Year" by the Los Angeles Times and Scott's work was singled out by BackStage West as "par excellence."

After the production of Macbeth, Scott began training with Michael Holmes and joined his Action/ReAction Theater Company. With Action/ReAction, Scott performed in many successful production including the LA Weekly Pick-of-the-Week Infinite Cages by Mike Stutz, Mag Mor by Megan Condit and Voices from the Dark by Michael Holmes (he also co-produced Mag Mor and Voices)

Though it was only his first production at Action/ReAction, the most fruitful was a play called Machinal because that's where Scott met his beautiful wife Jeana Blackman. Jeana and Scott now live in Los Angeles with a couple of cats: Crunchberry and Sneakers.
